frenectomy
If Dr. Nora is recommending treatment for your infant, treatment for releasing any ties is possible directly after consultation. Along with the parental consent for treatment, Dr. Nora provides a comprehensive take-home guide all about frenectomies, what to expect after the procedure, and aftercare.
Prior to the procedure, Dr. Nora uses a topical anesthetic to ensure the comfort of your infant. Our office also uses a medical grade swaddle and laser goggles to ensure a safe, comfortable procedure.
The frenectomy procedure using the CO2 laser itself is very quick. Depending on the type of frenectomy, the release is typically under 1 minute. During the procedure, Dr. Nora is assisted by two dental assistants to ensure minimal movement of your infant, so that the frenectomy can be precise. Parents are always welcome to stay in the room!
